House Manager / Governess
Governesses are specialized childcare workers hired to teach children from ages three and up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide creative stimulation for the children
- Oversee children’s daily routines such as meals, baths, activities, appointments, homework, etc…
- Prepare healthy, fresh, and balanced meals for the children while school is and is not in session.
- Ensure the children are always properly dressed and equipped with the necessary garments for different activities
- Keep the children’s rooms, the playroom, and all child-related items and toys clean and tidy at all times
- General household cleaning of all areas of the house
- Take care of the children’s laundry and manage the children’s closet
- Organise and supervise indoor and outdoor activities
- Read stories to the children and avoid screen time
- Stimulate their creativity and imagination through activities like crafting, reading, and drawing
- Pay attention to the development of good manners and social behaviour
- Participate in International travel with the family if needed
- Tend to children when one or both of them are sick
- Accompany the children to medical, school-related, or extra-scholar appointments and activities
- Always ensure a benevolent, safe, and secure environment for the children
